About “Lazy Eye”

Amblyopia or so-called “lazy eye” is a visual disorder marked by poor eye vision in one eye due to no transmission or poor transmission of the visual image to the brain.  It is believed to affect 1-5% of the population.

Many people with “lazy eye” aren’t even aware they have the condition until they are tested.   Those with severe cases of lazy eye can experience symptoms such as poor depth-perception, low sensitivity to contrast, poor spatial acuity and even reduced sensitivity to motion.
